Field manual
War Pad is a joke war between coins launched here. Countries are flags, coins are cardboard counters, and the biggest counter in each country sits on top. Nobody gets hurt; some bags do.
How it works
- Launch a coin for any country. All 242 places on the map are open, from Brazil to Antarctica. It is a normal pump.fun coin.
- Any number of coins per country. A country is a flag, not a slot. Ten coins can fight for Peru.
- The biggest one flies the flag. The map shows each country's biggest War Pad coin by its 10 minute median market cap.
- Overtakes make the news. "$CAT overtook $DOG in France" lands in Dispatches. Big ones (new leader at $100,000 or more) go to War Pad's X.
- The top dog is pinned. The biggest War Pad coin anywhere is pinned first on the board.
Only coins launched through War Pad exist on this map. Other coins, however big, are not invited.
The launch
One transaction, signed by your wallet and by a mint key made in your browser:
compute budget
pump.fun create_v2 creator = you
pump.fun buy optional dev buy, by you
system transfer 0.02 SOL to the War Pad treasury
memo war1:<country code>
The memo is part of the coin's own creation transaction, so the country choice is public, signed by the creator and cannot change. One country per coin, forever. The dev buy is optional, as on any pump.fun launch.
The overtake rule
The service weighs every coin at random moments: one sample about every 15 seconds, plus or minus 5 seconds of secret jitter. Each sample is the coin's market cap in lamports, read from its bonding curve (or its PumpSwap pool after it graduates).
median(c) = median of c's samples in the last 10 minutes
challenger takes the top if median(challenger) × 10000 > median(leader) × (10000 + 200)
- A flash pump does nothing. One high sample does not move a median. A buy has to hold for more than half the window.
- The first coin of a country leads at once. Later coins need at least 8 samples before they can take the top.
- New coins wait their turn. A new coin counts the minutes before its launch at the launch price, so a fresh pump also has to hold for more than half the window before it can overtake.
- Ties go to the higher median, then the earlier launch (slot, signature), then the mint.
- All comparisons are in lamports. USD is only for display and the X threshold.
- No fresh price, no overtakes. If the chain read fails, that tick changes nothing.
Asleep coins
A coin with no trade for 24 hours is asleep. An asleep coin never holds a flag while an awake one exists in its country. When every coin of a country is asleep, the biggest one stays on the map, faded, and wakes on its next trade.
Fee and params
Fee changes apply only to launches after the change; the history is kept and old launches are never re-judged.
Check it yourself
A coin is on the map only if one successful transaction does all of this, at the top level:
- exactly one pump.fun
create_v2for the mint, creator = the fee payer, no mayhem mode; - exactly one memo, exactly
war1:plus a code from the 242-country list; - exactly one SOL transfer from the payer to the treasury, at least the fee in force at that slot;
- a dev buy, if present, made by the payer;
- the curve is quoted in SOL.
Every country page lists each coin's median, its last samples with slots and reserves, and links the raw JSON. Samples are never rewritten.
What you trust
- The launch is yours. Your wallet signs a standard pump.fun create; War Pad never holds your mint key or your coin.
- The country is on chain. The memo is inside the create transaction. Anyone can verify it.
- The leaderboard is computed off chain by the War Pad service, with the public formula above and published samples. The service decides when samples are taken; the jitter seed is secret so nobody can time a pump to it.
- Names on the public map can be hidden for slurs, links or real tragedies. Hidden coins stay in the raw check data.
- It is a game. A flag is bragging rights, not a payout. pump.fun coins are risky; buy only what you would spend on a board game night.
